Vadim Lantukh

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Vadim has spent over 15 years leading teams to solve challenges at the intersection of finance and technology. During this time, Vadim has worked with over 50 enterprise organizations to improve data quality and reliability and automate critical business processes. In his role as CEO, Vadim has responsibility for the strategy and direction of the company, as well as oversight of Lucasys product management and professional services functions.

Prior to founding Lucasys, Vadim served as Partner, Managing Director, and Practice Lead for Regulated Capital Consultants, LLC and Director of Professional Services for PowerPlan, Inc.

Vadim graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He lives in Cumming, GA with his wife and five children.

Daniel Chang

Co-Founder and Chief operating officer

Daniel has 15 years of experience leading consulting organizations and delivering value in the enterprise finance space. Daniel’s expertise includes implementing, integrating, developing, and converting tax technology systems with respect to fixed assets, provision, and cost recovery for over 100 enterprise customers.

Prior to Lucasys, Daniel was a Senior Manager with Deloitte Tax, LLP and led the national depreciation, analytics, and reporting function. Daniel also served as Director of Professional Services at PowerPlan, Inc.

Daniel is a Project Management Professional and graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Stephen Strang

CO-FOUNDER and chief technology officer

Stephen has over 13 years experience developing and delivering software solutions across a wide array of industries including rate-regulated utilities, financial institutions, and consumer product goods. In his role as CTO, Stephen has responsibility for the development and architecture of the company’s software products, as well as oversight of its security functions.

Prior to Lucasys, Stephen was an engineering lead at AnswerRocket, leading the DevOps and Security teams as well as contributing to the architecture and development of AnswerRocket’s business intelligence platform. Stephen also previously served as Manager of Professional Services at PowerPlan, Inc.

Stephen graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Stephen lives in Cumming, GA with his wife and two daughters.

 
 

 
 

Bryan Murphy

Vice President of Professional Services

Bryan has over 20 years of experience in the areas of ASC740 accounting best practices, enterprise applications, and data management. Bryan has worked with over 30 utility customers and is an expert in regulated tax accounting and reporting requirements.

Prior to Lucasys, Bryan held various consulting and management roles at Regulated Capital Consultants, LLC, PowerPlan, Inc., Exelon Corporation, and Arthur Anderson.

Bryan is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Accounting. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.

Gabriel St James

Director of Professional Services

Gabriel has over 10 years of experience as a corporate tax advisory and accounting professional with extensive consulting and project management skillsets for tax systems. Gabriel has combined expertise in tax and technology services, and is an industry-certified programming expert in relational database management and query development with a focus on systems optimization and data integration.

Prior to Lucasys, Gabriel held various consulting and management roles at Regulated Capital Consultants, LLC, PowerPlan, Inc., and Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc.

Gabriel graduated with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a joint focus on optimization and economic decision analysis.

 
 

 
 

Jarrett Skov

Director of professional services

Jarrett has over 12 years of experience serving rate-regulated utilities and companies in asset-intensive industries, focusing on enabling teams with software for tax provision, tax depreciation, and the tax basis balance sheet. He is also driven by systematizing complex or data-intensive processes by using workflow automation and data wrangling tools to build custom solutions. Jarrett joined Lucasys in 2023 to continue this objective by providing technical and tax consulting services for our clients.

Prior to joining Lucasys, Jarrett held positions as a Software Engineering Manager at Deloitte, as well as Product Manager and Solution Architect at PowerPlan, Inc.

Jarrett graduated with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

 
 

 
 

Tommy Ferguson

Chief Marketing Officer

Tommy has over 11 years of expertise in sales and marketing, with a strong emphasis on customer acquisition, revenue enhancement, and client retention. Since joining Lucasys in 2023, Tommy has been instrumental in crafting and executing marketing strategies that not only fuel growth but also elevate the company’s brand presence.

Before his tenure at Lucasys, Tommy held significant national sales and marketing roles at GroundTruth, Ramsey Solutions and Zac Brown Collective. In 2016, he served as the Basecamp Manager and Marketing Director for a Mount Everest expedition, where he led marketing initiatives for USX, successfully raising awareness for PTSD among veterans as his team reached the summit.

Tommy is an honors graduate from Shorter University, where he earned a degree in Business Management & Marketing. He currently resides in Cumming with his wife and three children.

 
 

 
 

Mark T. Caron

Senior Executive CONSULTANT

Mr. Mark T. Caron has over forty years of experience as a tax professional and leader with particularly deep knowledge of the issues facing the utility industry. Mr. Caron joined Lucasys in 2023 as a consultant providing technical, relationship and professional support for system implementations.

Prior to joining Lucasys, Mr. Caron’s career as a leader for a Fortune 100 company positions him to provide advice informed by years of working with company leadership to integrate tax solutions with financial accounting impact and company internal considerations.  

Mr. Caron’s career includes extensive leadership experience with Arthur Andersen, Tenneco, PwC, and most recently Pacific Gas and Electric Company where he was VP of Tax from 2007-2019.

Additionally, Mr. Caron held a number of leadership roles in the utility industry including Chairman of the EEI Tax Committee (2010-2011); Co-Chair of the Tax Analysis and Research Subcommittee [TARS], the group responsible for evaluating tax law changes and regulatory proposals and recommending appropriate strategies for the industry, for two cycles (2011-2012 and 2016-2017); and Co-Chair of the EEI Tax Reform subcommittee during the years leading up to the TCJA.

Mr. Caron holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley College, and has been a Texas CPA and a member of the Texas Bar.

 
 

 
 

Rob Yankovich

Solution Architect

Rob has over 30 years of experience working with more than 100 rate-regulated utilities and other energy companies.  During this time, he has implemented, supported and developed software systems that provide regulated tax accounting, tax provision, fixed asset accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and production cost modeling solutions for these companies.

Rob has provided his clients with answers to regulatory and other business issues by leveraging the value of the data in these systems.

Prior to joining Lucasys, Rob has worked as a project manager for Southern Company, as a consultant at PowerPlan, and as a consultant at Siemens New Energy.

Rob has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve University.
